MUGEN lifebars change the in-fight HUD: health bars, power meters, timer and round announcements. Swap them to match your roster, like MK-style bars for Mortal Kombat characters, Arcana Heart bars for anime fighters, or a clean HD set for high-resolution characters.

How to add a lifebar

Match the lifebar to your game's resolution. A 1280x720 bar looks wrong in a 640x480 game, so pick the matching file when a pack ships several.
MK vs SF 3 and Virtual Fighter 5 need MUGEN 1.1. The Fighting Grounds and Doom are for IKEMEN GO only.

FAQ

Is a lifebar a screenpack?

No. A lifebar is only the in-fight HUD: health, power and timer. A screenpack is the menus and select screen, and some screenpacks include their own lifebars.

Which MUGEN version do I need?

Most of these work on WinMUGEN and MUGEN 1.0/1.1. MK vs SF 3 and Virtual Fighter 5 need MUGEN 1.1. The Fighting Grounds and Doom are IKEMEN GO only. Old Class and Gumball The Words include builds for both.

The portraits look wrong. Why?

Some bars expect custom portraits. SLAY3R's Arcana Heart packs include a standard version (LIFEBAR0.def) that uses each character's normal 9000,0 portrait.
