How to install MUGEN content and stop it crashing. Each guide is a static page Google can crawl. Downloads stay on the listings those guides point to.

If you do not have an engine yet, grab MUGEN 1.1 or IKEMEN GO first. New installs: IKEMEN GO. Old zips that die on 1.1: keep a 1.0 folder too. The comparison is on MUGEN 1.0 vs 1.1 vs IKEMEN GO.

Install content

Add charactersUnzip into chars, add one line in select.def. The one people search first. Add stagesCopy the .def into stages, then ExtraStages or a character line. FAQ

Do I need MUGEN and IKEMEN GO?

No. One engine is enough to play. Keep both only if a zip is picky. Read the listing's Mugen Version row.

Where are the old how-to pages?

Same URLs: add characters and add stages. They were rewritten. The other six guides are new.

Why not put these on /search/label/mugen-tutorial?

Blogger robots.txt blocks /search. These /p/ pages are what Google can crawl, same as the series hubs.

Can I send a tutorial?

Send a character, stage or screenpack through Add your content. Engine how-tos stay on this hub so they can be edited in place.
