Capcom vs SNK is the 2D crossover people still search as CvS MUGEN characters: KOF sprites on one side, Street Fighter on the other, grooved like the NAOMI / Dreamcast game. A lot of the best MUGEN conversions of Kyo, Ryu, Chun-Li and Guile were built for that look, not as straight arcade ports.

Best picks

Most accurate — Ryu (Pots) and Kyo (Jmorphman). If you only keep two CvS MUGEN characters, keep these. They are the two sides of the crossover.

Best to play as a set — Jmorphman's Ken, Chun-Li and Guile. Same author, same size, same groove.

Best menus — CvS 3 Screenpack HD. A folder of Jmorphman chars in a blank 1.0 install does not feel like Capcom vs SNK. This does.

Setup tips

Groove, not Turns. CvS is 1v1 with a groove. Leave Team mode on Single. Turns is for the KOF hub.
Screenpack. CvS 3 HD for the select. Don't drop these chars into a KOF Anthology install if you want it to look like CvS.
1.0 vs 1.1. These are mostly 1.0 / WinMUGEN conversions. If a char dies on 1.1, use 1.0 or Ikemen GO.

Are these official Capcom vs SNK characters?

No. Fan conversions. Downloads go to the authors. Capcom and SNK still own the games.

Where do I download a full CvS MUGEN game?

Neo Geo x Capcom: Battle For Destiny is the full-game listing. Marvel vs Capcom packs are a different crossover; they live on the MvC Best-of post.

Why are Kyo and Ryu also on other hubs?

They are the same listings. Kyo is a KOF character built in a CvS style; Ryu is a Street Fighter character built for CvS. This page is the crossover view.

Which MUGEN version do I need?

M.U.G.E.N 1.0 or Ikemen GO. 1.1 is hit-or-miss on these older conversions.

CvS or SNK vs Capcom?

Same idea, two labels on this site. This hub covers both. The SVC Chaos-style listing is Violent Ken; the rest is CvS-style conversion work.
